Our mission is to help adults and young people (incarcerated youth) who live or work in Tompkins County meet their personal goals, free of charge, by improving their ability to read, write, and speak English, and to use math and computers.
The Tompkins Learning Partners Literacy for Life Campaign has raised a total of $750,000 in gifts and pledges from generous friends and donors, handily exceeding the $660,000 announced at the campaign’s kick-off last August.
One of the first improvements made to our building was the removal of the old steam boiler and water heater and the accompanying asbestos - which was replaced with a new energy efficient hot water boiler and water heater.
